I'm not really understanding your request. I read it and went over to my keyboard and took my EV 737 off the stand and it weights very little. I think most of the weight comes from the xlr cable dangling down. Maybe a wireless would be more comfortable ??

as I said Bill my favorite is the Shure GLXD24 wireless...
but in some situation only a wired MIC will work.
Yes they all seem lightweight but in this scenario OUNCES matter
when you have to hold it over an hour long.
The Senn mics are heavy duty and heavier then most that's ok for stand mount..

The Samson Q8 is quite nice. I think you'd like it. Haven't tried the Q8x.

Well the Samson Q8 came and went fast!
....took it out of the box it felt like a IRON DUMBELL

Might work ok on a Mic stand, vs having to
hold it for 3 or 4 hours.. singer
......sang a few tunes with it not too bad
but it just didn't have the
"dynamic quality" or gain of what I am used to.
I guess you get what you pay for frown
Packed it up and returned it Immediately. Lesson learned. wink

I'll just stick with my all time favorite wired handheld
Shure BETA 58a Mic!

Sorry you didn't like it. I think it's a good mic.
