Does anyone know what the current operating system version is for the KN6500 and where I can get an upgrade if necessary ?.

Occasionally on changing registrations I get a loud "doing" noise and someone ( I forget who) told me that there was an upgrade that cured this.

this download is 1.3, which the 65 was supplied with. There was a 1.3a, but this was unofficial and never sanctioned by the factory by my understanding. I never heard anything about it curing extraneous noises.

Thanks to Willum and TechnicsPlayer for your input. I've been trying to get hold of the Technics UK support to ask about this. Does any one know how to check which O/S version my keyboard has ?.
