Well he doesn't know the differance between A and Ab and if your going to make a video buy a shirt. The Rocky thing is over even in South Philly. hahahah look around at most acts today all over nobody cares how they look it's a mess...they wear anything they want... sandals, t-shirts, shorts, headbands,....nobody shaves or grooms all kinds of things sticking out or whatever,... has personal stage appearance been cast aside in today world? or are we just old fashioned.. Donny Your right . The older very successful groups here who get the big jobs at least dress appropriate. Usually its all Black but one groups sometimes wears suits. And even for outside jobs when its hot, and it does get hot here, no shorts or sandals. The other million guitar players have a contest who can have the grubbiest beard and wear the oldest T-shirts they own. And its accepted. We're old fashioned but I'm glad we know how to present ourselves. I just called out a guy on Facebook who posted a video of him playing a Hammond in a church, in a baseball hat ! He got back to me and said it was only a rehearsal but still I was brought up no hats inside anytime.

I’d like to think that I’m not old or even old fashioned, but I always try to look sharp.
My wife and I play at a casino in Oklahoma every once in awhile. They advertise a lot on TV and in the comerciales everyone looks so glamorous but in reality everyone dresses just horribly! But we want to look like pros!
In the Latin field, all the acts still dress very nice. It doesn’t matter if it’s mariachi, banda, norteña, salsa , cumbia , most of those groups have very nice uniforms.
I sub at a very modern non denominational church. Every one goes to the service so casually jeans , shorts and T shirts. I felt a little odd at first going to church in jeans but I go in “ nice jeans “ and a snazzy button down shirt, and dress shoes, and I’m still out dressing the pastor and I’m just the drummer in a plexiglass cage!

Ditto on the awful dress code these days . . . I am playing and singing every Sunday at a small, newer and very casual non denominational church. Yes, I see people come in shorts and tshirts, but no one looks grubby at all, and no hats. And since I am up in front for the entire service, I always dress appropriately, dressy florida casual . . . Just the way I was brought up I guess, and I also think it is a sense of having some personal pride in our appearance, casual setting or not!
