I've discovered that I can browse in ANY style part from ANY style into ANY style section right onboard my PSR S770! Listening live to the results as I do it. No measure length, beat or time signature differences or any other issues. Everything fits and works on the fly. I can even browse intro or endings or fills or breaks into ordinary style sections.

On top of this I use voices from my expansion memory. If the octave is wrong, I change it direct on the voice and save the results as a new voice which I then use in the style. This is the most awesome feature next to Ketron's style modelling.

I am busy creating the most FANTASTIC styles for my Yamaha!!! My Yamaha just became MUCH more alive. Soon it will be just as much souped up as my Audya is.

Henni, you will also find that you can tune every aspect of the drums as well, which is something new as well.

All the best,

As you know I am seriously into style modelling with good results on the Audya. Never did anything as serious on the Yamaha as yet.

Because of the weight difference, I am focussing more on my portable Yamaha for now. I only now discover these things for myself. I have created a few really magnificant new styles already and will post some demos as soon as I have enough internet data again (life is a bitch for the moment).

So for me this is as yet unchartered teritory on my Yamaha and I am AMAZED at the ease with which this could be done.

Donny, there has been some discussion lately on the PSR Tutorial site about this.

Yup, you are right. This is what got me started. If others are doing this in earnest, I have not come up against any new styles uploaded by them anywhere and I look EVERYWHERE for styles as this is one of my passions.

I don't remember exactly where the discussion is, Donny, but I am sure Henni can lead you in the right direction.

Hi Gary,

Communicating from my phone for now - very difficult to search for, copy and paste any links.

Cheers,

Henni

Example 01 - used to be "Little Bit Of Heaven" under Irish styles for T5
