This idea, keyboard cover, has been around for decades. I contacted one of the companies years ago to ask if they could make just the left hand section to use with a piano keyboard (being an old accordion player). They said that it was not possible because it would require retooling of their machinery.
I forgot how really pretty that song is...including the Ray Charles version.
I was enjoying listening to him playing it but it was rather methodical....play the lead, play the fill, play the lead, play the fill, etc and ZERO drum breaks. Halfway through it got boring....but it was OK 'cause I fell asleep.
His left hand. The song has 1-2 measures of the same chord. You've already laid down the chord with your left hand so why not play the fills "on top of" the lead line (with that left hand)....and "sparingly.

There have been a number of threads that have featured this type of instrument over the years, so no big surprise.
