$29.95 $29.95 $29.95!!!???....and surge protection too!!! That's even pretty enough to put on the mantel or hang from your Xmas tree.

That's the weak link in my system. A cheap Dollar store version of a power strip. That's what's probably keeping me back from being a star.

I think I'm going to get one of these.

I like to have some USB ports in mine, for charging devices. I have mixer, recorder, phone and light all plugged into USB. The strip I use has four USB ports along with the eight standard AC.

The Furhman strip has a 15 foot powers chord vs the 6 foot chord on the D'dario base eliminating the need for an extension. I blew out a power strip plugging into an extension chord.

It was actually at a fire hall. There was a burning smell from the power strip, and it kicked out before damaging my equipment. I told them I was not going to continue. They understood, payed me for the gig,and offered to pay for any damages. The next time I played there, the place had been rewired.

So using an extension cord with a power strip is not a good idea? I didn't know that. https://www.ius.edu/environmental-health-safety/files/extension-cord-and-power-strip-safety.pdf
