....at my local hospital. We used to go there for Tuesday night social dinners. One week I played the piano before the dinner. They have an Altenburg giant grand in the lobby. Most everyone enjoyed it so I volunteered to play when I have time and they were keen on the idea. I wear a tuxedo when I play to look the part of a professional. I like to think my playing changes the personality of the main reception desk area and adds warmth in the lives of persons visiting sick friends and relatives.
And, yes, the instrument you're playing DOES make a difference both in keyboard action AND sound. I don't play as well at home as I do on that huge 30K grand. I can see now why concert pianists bring their own piano around the world with them!
