I added the G70 on my demo links.. Just for comparison.

The G70 is using some sounds from the expansion card (Studio).

I meant to change the drum kit to a brush kit to match the SD7, but recorded it with the "tight kit" from the Studio card.

When I recorded the SD7, I manually triggered the drum fills and variations in real time. (my favorite feature on the SD7).

You just can't beat the audio drums and audio bass on the SD7 smile

I can get close, but no cigar grin

The regular tones (non audio), G70 sounds better(with expansion Studio board).

The VST's are cleaner in MixCraft, but seem a bit lifeless. I used my favorite acoustic piano (pianissimo.. )

I just added the G70 version without mastering, just the actual recording (that I prefer).

Not really Donny. Although the sd40 sounds great, my initial idea was to rig it up with my guitar. After talking with people and listening to demos, it appeared the interface was still fraught with flaws.
The Col. had his system up and running...but there were hiccups. The system that seems to work best are Roland Guitar synths. But, they’re not cheap.
I got the m-audio controller from Don...but like you said, setup was cumbersome.
After evaluating my future needs, it made more sense to stick with a keyboard that I can just turn on and play. Especially, with the limited time I currently have.
I wanted it to work, but as you know...sometimes things just don’t work out as planned.
Anyway...onward and upward!
