As usual, Yamaha’s sound is bright and polished. But after listening to these sounds for ages it can be refreshing for a change to switch to something different, like Korg. Well, since there are only two brands out there in a game when it comes to arrangers (there is also Ketron, but even their site doesn’t work properly on my iPhone, so I’m not sure) and it’s not about getting one keyboard for a lifetime, maybe it’s no longer a matter of choosing the right one but about which to buy first.

Isn't it a good thing though that we still have a choice ?

For me as always the Yamaha sounds like a compressed CD sound

The KORG has a more open LIVE sound

I agree with this to an extent however I have always thought that the Korg's have a lighter/thinner sound than Yamaha, not as full, beefy or punchy, but yes Korg has always sounded more live of the two.
