I am considering turning my Genos into a dusl manual organ setup. (No pedals)
I will be usinging V-console

https://www.tyrosmagic.com/v-console

And a 2nd keyboard as lower for just midi out..

However i am having a hard time finding the right key for the lower position

People are suggesting Yamaha piagero np32, but i don’t really like the keyaction
There is also the 88 key stdiologic compct 2ex.. which has supposedly better Keyaction

Another option is using an old arranger keyboard.. setting it up so it boots into sending midi out ... but which old keyboards still have great action 76 key and aftertouch (i like pa4x action, thats fatar tp/8sk)

I considered a used Roland G70, but the surface with the screen isn’t flat enough...

Any suggestions are welcome for a 76 key with great action and aftertouch..and flat surface

I always thought Kurzweil had quality keybeds.

Yes they have, they have fatar keybeds..
But kurzweil hasn’t brought anything with 76 synth key action to the market in a very long time..... yet still, might consider a pc3k7... altough they are hard to find and quite pricey..
Same goes for a yamaha motif xs7 or xf7...

Yamaha piaggio NP v60.
It is one of the better key feel beds from Yamaha.. Soft graded action(synth action with box keys.)
Around $200 used price in USA.
No aftertouch.
I have one but gave it to my granddaughter (about to take piano lessons).

The keyboard is USB midi .

Hi,
Synth action only appears to exist in the 61 notes.
I was having a look at their pianos, Have any of you ever heard a kurzweil piano.
They have a big range of instruments nowadays.

I owned a pc3x

The new kurzweils, espescially the forte have great sounding piano sounds and decent action

The only keyboard l can think would be similar feel to the Genos and 76 keys would be a Tyros 5 76, but that would be rather an expensive lower manual.
l have an NP31 as a lower with my Genos using V Console.

Kind regards,

Russ

Thank you Bachus,
I had a piano module of theirs, close to 30 years ago, in its day it sounded great.

Might give me more piano options, than just the Yamaha, though I do like Yamaha piano sound.

Have you found something for your set up yet. Pity it can’t be 61 notes, possibly a lot more options.

Hi Russ, is it a weighted feel or semi weighted? Hadn’t spotted that one.

I can't understand why Yamaha never make a module version of their top of range boards.
I'm sure a Genos module would sell quite well although it wouldn't be cheap.
That would open up a lot of opportunities for those with pA4x, Ketron SD7 & SD9 & Roland EA-7.
