Anyone else using a drummer throne, with backrest?

https://www.k-m.de/us/products/drummer-s...e-gomezz-chrome

I am having some problems with my lower back off lately
I wanna try a new drummer throne, which sits about 15 cm higher then my piano bench

Anyone got experience with this?
Do they work well with keyboards?

Most musicians when they sit on a bench/stool, slouch, which puts a lot of strain on the back, however if you look at pro musicians like piano/organ players they always sit upright to prevent these problems, therefore you need to get into the habit of always sitting upright if you want to solve the problem.
A seat with a back that has good lumbar support can certainly help, as it tends to force you to sit upright. (If you can get into the habit of sitting upright without help though all the better)

Here is the one I am using:

My low back troubled me for a few years, especially during gigs.
Now I can play for hours without problem.
Have been using it for several years now. Well worth the money.

That's fine for you,Donny, because you sit low and use any chair. I use a round throne like Eric. It is super comfortable, good back support, raises to my correct height using pedals, and breaks down in seconds.

Thanks Eric, interesting throne... it holds the middle between a saddle one and a round one..

How high are you sitting?
I would like to sit a little higher so my knees aren’t bent to 90 degrees, like on the piano bench..

This is something i definately learned from my piano lessons... straight back...
But when playing 2 keyboards on top of eachother, this is hard to keep up as you need to lean forward often to reach the controlls of the upper key..

Hi Bachus,
I adjusted the seat to bench height.
Very comfortable.
No problems what so ever with the crotch
You can adjust it easily to any height.
