I will never understand the people who advertise on eBay.

The Yamaha s975 keyboard:

Most new S975 were listed in the $1,699 range.

One pre-owned (USED) was listed for $1,599 and a second pre-owned S975 was listed at 2,100???????

Are you serious John, some people are a bit unrealistic with pricing, but maybe they paid full price themselves. still.

So far so good for me, sold Pa4x, psrs950 and waiting for pa3x to say it’s been delivered.Teensy worried about that one, going to an area where there’s been reported bushfires.

Same her in europe..
We have a place called marktplaats here in Holland..
Last week there was an Jupiter 80 for sale at €2700
Thats more expensive then a new one ever was..

I contaced the guy. To ask if he was serious.
He gave me a story about the instrument being rare and becomming a classiic.
He didn’t want to drop the price
And pulled the advertisement a few days later..

In the end i got into contact with someone trough facebook
Bought a JP80 in mint condition for half of that pricetag..

People have lost most sense of realisme buying and selling on these boards..

What i personally have learned tough that with some patience you can still make great deals.. most of the time when buying and selling used gear, i make a little money on them.. exceptions are there, bought the modx8 last year used, and then Yamaha decided to drop the new price by €300. So in the end lost €200 on it. Which isn’t much either for almost a year of playing fun..

Here a list of my latest buys and sales... in th elast 2 years
Korg pa4x €2600 - €2300
Roland G70 €600 - €500
Kurzweil PC3x €700 - €900
Roland integra 7 €1000 -€1050
Korg Kronos €1500 - €1700
Dexibell module €600 - €700
Yamaha motif ES rack €200 - €500
Gsi Gemini €600 - €600
Yamaha modx6 €1100 - €1000
Yamaha modx8 €1500 - €1300
Yamaha Genos €2800 - not for sale yet
Roland Jupiter 80 €1350 - would sell for €1600 to €1700 in a few months

I been. Trying to sell my vst collection..
However... thats way harder to sell then hardware
Which made me come to realize that hardware is much cheaper then software..
Altough, ipad apps might be an exception..
