Hi

I have just got a Technics PR804 I am missing the cd rom that comes wioth it with the pC programs on it. Does anyone have this and if so would they be able to email a copy so i can burn it onto a cd or point me in the direction i can get one. It would be much appreciated and i would pay any costs incurred.

Also is there anyway of programming the piano so when i change sound groups it remains on the current sound selected and does not change to a sound in the new group.

Do not know if it is the same as the 2600 or 7000, but if it is.......Turn of MSA (Music Style Aranger) and play any style with your panel memories not changing.

Check your email for a series of emails with attachments that contain the files from the PR804 CD ROM. Let me know if you have any trouble with these. You should have the two main programs Song Manager and Recorder along with the required drivers and instructions.

Pay particular attention to the driver installation process if you are using Windows XP.

Regarding the PR804 operation compared with the KN7000, they are nearly identical with the following exceptions. No Custom section on the 804, no SD card, and much more panel memory on the KN7000. Rhythms and sounds are mostly the same, but organized into different groupings and some subtle differnces in certain styles. 804 does not have the organ rhythms and some of the organ preset sounds from the KN7000.

One final comment. If you have any trouble with these programs and have access to a KN7000 CD ROM, try it. I have found them to be interchangeable in every case I have tried.
