I just wrote to Rikki about shopping at the used book sales they have all over my state (and yours).
In the past I've found scores from whole shows (Fiddler, West Side Story etc), books that tutor...jazz, swing, etc, individual song sheets, those thick 100-200 page "best of the (70's, 80's etc) books....lots of stuff, some of which I've seen in the music stores at $20+.
How it works is people donate music they're not using anymore (and there's a lot of that) and it gets resold to the public with proceeds going to charity.
I just found, after months of hunting for it, the piano solo version of Ballade pour Adeline...at 50 cents! These places are a gold mine of music resources. Sometimes I'll even buy a whole book for $1 and cut out what I need and discard the rest.
