Over these past 10 years of playing in public with an arranger and trying to learn piano....I’ve learned to love two things:

(1) The wonderful sound, styles, screen size(touch screen)and controls(sliders/knobs etc) of my Genos.

and

(2) The wonderful piano sounds(lower register especially) and beautiful action of my Roland RD2000...sliders, knobs etc are excellent on the RD2000 as well.

I love both my Genos and Roland RD2000.

Is there some company out there who can combine both? And keep the weight to under 40lbs?

73/76 keys are fine. Absolutely no interest in 61 keys.

Buy both, ...stack them both 2 tiers midi if that's what you desire
...your not gonna find what you describe on the market today in one unit. good luck.

I’ve thought of stacking, got a friend who does that; but in this day and age, two keyboards to do this shouldn’t be needed.

My thoughts. You may already have what you desire in the Genos. From everything I've heard and read, the piano voices on the Genos are very good, more than sufficient for any Arranger use that I can think of. You state that you are in the 'learning' stage for (solo?) piano, which means that you will not be playing solo piano on gigs in the near future. For all other uses, the Genos piano(s) should be more than sufficient. We all agree on the immense satisfaction of playing a premium stage (or great acoustic) piano, especially in the relaxed environment of the home. However, until your skill level rises to the point of being able to do solo piano gigs or significant parts of regular gigs, I would use the Genos piano for any piano parts in arranger use and use my Roland RD2000 (great piano, btw) at home to build my pianistic skills and for my personal playing enjoyment.

SOooo, my recommendation; SAVE YOUR MONEY, you're already in 'hog heaven' .

Been trying to find such an instrument for a decade ..
Its not there, and probably will never come..
I think combining a Fantom 8 (same keybed as the rd2000) with an sd90 by Ketron is the closest you will get..
Espescially when Roland can deliver the new SNA2 voices to the Fantom in an update..

I find the Roland sound quite difficult to mix with the Geno# sounds..
They don’t blend well, almost every sound on my jp80 needssome compression and eq, or it will push the genos side to the background.
I guess the Roland sounds will blend better with the sd90

I'm the same. I love my Roland FP90 (same keybed and piano sounds as your 2000 ) and I love the portability and sounds of my BK9. The solution is you have to sacrifice something. My goto is the BK9. Excellent piano and other sounds. Great Hammond. Its light and I've got my Styles edited to where I need them. And having the semi weighted touch of the BK9 I'm comfortable playing piano or organ sounds.
So the FP90 stays at home to keep the chops up and just enjoy playing an almost real piano. I love playing that keyboard.
Do what Donny and Chas said. The Genos is all you need to cover any gig situation.

It’s not a portable gigging board and the weight is certainly over 40 pounds but the Yamaha Clavinova CVP 809 ( the latest) would be the sweet spot.

This guy is a big Kawai fan. And a fan of expensive grand pianos.
