Is that the one you got from me? I'll take it back for the same price you paid me.

LOL - no, Don. That's an ad!

PLUS - you and I have NO NEED for another damn mic! We must have 4-5 dozen between us!

Question.

The difference between an e935/e945 is just the polar pattern? Right?

I’ve been using the e935.. great mic

The polar pattern, yes, but another characteristic of a super-cardioid mic allows sound to enter from directly behind the mic. This may not be an issue with keyboard players, but if you have a monitor speaker directly in front of you - you are asking for feedback. The up side is that the 945 rejects more sound from the sides than the 835 (which I use, too)
I have way too many mics, but I like having different colors in my crayon box.

More than a dozen wireless, another dozen vocal mics, and 1/2 dozen studio mics ... including a vintage Neumann KM-56 that was used in NYC for Stevie Wonder, Sammy Davis, Dione Warwick and many others. They're like my children - hard to pick a favorite!

If you truly believe that's true, then try singing through a cheap, uni-directional mic with no effects, record it and post it here for comments, one way or another. The frequency response, polarity, diaphragm size, frequency range, feedback rejection, and much, much more really go a long way in enhancing the vocal qualities of any singer. If this were not the case, we would all be using $29 mics while on stage instead of spending $300 to $600 for our stage mics and thousands for studio mics.

Happy New Year,

Gary cool
