Hello all...

My SD7 has finally arrived! But only been able to spend 15 minutes on it today just to take the delivery, unbox and test, then back to work frown The day at work at the moment is feeling so long !

But the 15 minutes I did have on it all I can say is just Wow...!

That's great,Danny.Yes,time sure goes by fast when you are having a good time.I see you have a good cross section of instruments to keep you busy now.

Hi Bernie, yes indeed, that was what I was trying to aim for to have my favorite genres covered and I think I may have achieved it now although only 15 minutes of SD7 is just nowhere near enough to give any conclusions, but I went straight to the categories I thought are weak on both the Yamaha and Korg, and yes as I thought the SD7 appears to outshine them in those categories. I will know more tonight.

The only odd one out for me now is the Tyros4 but I will never have the heart to let go of this keyboard since it was a gift but tonight I will retire it to it's box since I need to make room for the SD7 in it's place.

Danny you made a very wise choice and will certainly
step up to a new level of arranger kb playing.
The SD series can be amazing if you dig deep
and learn it's language. Ask Prince AJ questions too.
Good luck to you my friend with your new instrument. cool2

Hi Donny, thank you very much for your generous reply smile

From the little time I had of it, I can certainly agree with you that it's a level up from what I've been used to and I was taken back by not only how powerful and big it sounded (especially the drums & styles), but the overall build quality just feels professional.

Already one thing I really love is fact within the styles section there's an option to increase the power of the drums (not that they needed it), but such a really neat feature to show them off even more.

If there is anything I could sense in the small time I played it was the built in amplification didn't seem that powerful so I am hoping for some EQ settings somewhere. Not sure what OS level it's at but I'll check later, I am hoping the latest version. Key feel was very impressive too.
