I'm not a B-Ball fan, but Kobe was a local guy, and this is a tragic way to go.

What is also sad is that his 13 yr.old daughter died in the crash as well. Also another parent and child. Very sad.

Sad sad news, RIP

This is truly awful news . I became a basketball player and professional coach as a young man as a result of the inspiration that Kobe and Jordan provided through their basketball genius . I never met Kobe but the impact he had on my life growing up was very strong . I honestly I feel like a family member has died and I know it’s crazy but that’s the truth . I can’t imagine what his wife must be feeling right now to have lost her husband and daughter in one tragic event.

I hope her family and friends press together to support her through this terrible time .

So sad. I guess both Kobe and his wife mistrusted helicopters. They had made an agreement that they would never travel together on a helicopter.

Kids look up to Athletes and he was a great role model for them RIP
