In the UK it is common to have a projector (Either supplied by the artist or venue) to show off what the artist is playing, (Sometimes just a mirror is used behind the artist) or pictures and video that relate to the music.
How many on here do a similar sort of thing, or is it not done outside of the UK/Europe?
Here is an example of what I mean, that was recorded a couple of days ago.

For many years I did a piano bar, actually organ bar, type of thing. I always had a big mirror behind me, angled so the folks sitting at the bar could watch the keys and my hands. It worked great.

Definitely sets him apart from the audience which can be a good thing. At least it’s better than the lumber jack look that so many performers wear in the USA .
