Do you have a particular workflow when creating an arrangement for a new song or existing song you play?

Yes I do. I did not plan the workflow, it just happened.

I hope I understood your question correctly. I am assuming that it is a keyboard you know well. There is a big difference between a Pa4x and Sx900.

KORG:
1-Select a song, and select a style that fits – knowing that it may change as I get into working.

2-Save the style with four instruments you want. (OTS)

3-Balance the volumes of RT1,2,3, left, and accomp.

4-Save in song book.

5-Add the four pads that fit with the song.

6-Save in Song Book.

7-Copy to Set List.

Sx900:
1-Select song and style

2-Load one of the bands I created (8 regs) only the instruments and their volumes were saved.

3-Save the song and style in Reg #1 You now have Reg #1 with the style, instrument, tempo, and whatever you wish. The left hand can only be saved when you save the style, which is in #1 reg. I have not started to work with the pads yet.

4- You can save the changes you want in the other Regs 2 thru 8.
Now the fun part, I keep playing the song and making changes to the set up as I feel them. It’s all a matter of feel.

Is this what you wanted? Did I leave anything out?

Only thing I can add is first find the right key if you are singing. Then Style, sounds etc.
