Fran great tips...
btw how many besides you & Rico actually
own and play a Roland G70 at this time?
what should it matter LOL?? maybe you should re visit the G70 (if you can find one) and realise why some people are still playing them
I own and play the G70 every day and cant see anything replacing it at the moment. It is THAT good! :-).
@Fran - good tip on the "favourite tones" I never really thought of that but it makes total sense and is so easy to do...
I have been spending alot of time lately using song make up tools for midi files that i have accumulated over time. what a breeze to edit midi files and save them for your performances on the keyboard.. something I was never able to do on a korg or Yamaha keyboard without using a computer based DAW and even still was a nightmare. Every time the midi file would start from the beginning all the tracks would revert back to their auto re voice.. so annoying and painful to overcome!!
I noticed a G70 has been put up for sale by someone locally in Australia on Gumtree.com.au for $2800 AUD (currently about $1700USD). The seller states "Reluctant sale as I still believe it’s one of the best keyboards made - ahead of its time".. it makes me smile as I can totally concur with that statement
