Yes, I do know the name of the town. It was Garber. I haven't been in that neck of the woods for more than 60 years probably. It is my understanding that Garber does not exist anymore, or is now just a shadow of the original town. My mother taught school in Leedy. Dad and mom lived on farms in those days. I think they were 40 acre homesteads. My mother's brother, Roy, was mayor of Leedy when he died of pneumonia at age 32. My mother's sister is still living and will be 107 years old April 4th. I was able to spend some time with her when I was home this past summer. She is amazing! She is a great fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team.
