Hi Denny,
If they are standard Yamaha Styles then I have converted most of them from many Yamaha models and they are available on my websites for almost every Technics model including KN5000. There are many hundreds available for free and hundreds more for VIP members. The reason I have both free and VIP is to try to cover my running costs (which it goes absolutely nowhere near touching so I appreciate people's support if they can
). All of the Styles have been tuned to the various Technics models after being converted using Styleworks, Midiworks PA and several other programs (I own numerous Technics keyboards and organs to do this). The Styles that are VIP only are ones that have taken much longer to convert or are handmade or have been converted from brands that aren't fully supported by the available conversion software. I don't say they are all perfect but if someone spots a problem with a Style I edit it and a new version is published.
I have spent many, many hundreds of hours converting and tuning the Styles over the years but unfortunately, I see people selling them on Ebay or sharing them freely which detracts from the advert income that helps to keep me running so please send people to the site for new ones because that also means they have the latest versions.
Besides the Styles I've converted and Styles that generous members such as Roger (RMepstead) have uploaded and Willum's fabulous Styles and audios that he has allowed me to share, the sites also have free user manuals to download (despite the Paypal links for non-members they are free once you have joined the sites) as well as hundreds of Styles I have retrieved from websites that have now disappeared or such as Gunnar Jonny's site with his Styles which I have re-hosted with his permission.
I will admit that my network of sites is not so easy to navigate at the moment because it is a work in progress and I work ridiculous hours in my day job, but I work on the sites every single evening and weekend to maintain them and they will improve as and when I get more time. All the information is there but members need to take a little time to read all the articles and instructions or ask for help if needed. My sites aren't a quick "join and download" system, we are a community and it does take a little effort but it pays back in droves.
There's also an App on the top menu of the sites where you can select your model or Styles series to search appropriate Styles for well over 2500 song names or type in a rhythm name me to see which model it is on or which disks to download.
Beyond that, I know Roger is always willing to help out with conversions if you have Styles you have made that need to be converted from other brands, and I do the same for members when I have time. Most of my spare time is taken with keeping the sites running with software updates and so on at the moment, there never seems to be enough time to play music after work
I also work with Neil at Strawberry music to make his amazing Technote magazine, video tutorials and professional Styles available. This aspect is unfortunately behind schedule due to time constraints.
The network of sites has almost 12,000 members, over 10,000 pages and more than 110,000 Technics files.
People have asked me why I run a membership system at all, why don't I just make downloads available and stop talking about it. Well, there are several reasons but the most important one is so that I can preserve information about Technics keyboards and make new Styles and other types of files available. Literally hundreds of Technics websites have disappeared including the ones run by Technics, CEES, and all of that is lost apart from what I have managed to retrieve from trawling Internet archives and with the help of the members. These sites have disappeared because they were not able to cover their costs, their owners moved on to other brands or their Styles were shared around without regard for the owner's feelings, lack of feedback and these sorts of factors. Site owners don't exist in a vacuum and the sites take many years of concerted effort to keep going. We all want to have thriving and active sites rather than sites that sit around in case someone wants to visit in a few years' time to grab some files. That is why it is important to support sites such as Synthzone by participating and generally join in when we can. Nigel does it because he loves it, we all do, and it is very satisfying to see such an active site as Synthzone with so many members active in all the forums. Long may it survive and thrive Nigel!
For my sites, I try various things to gather enthusiasm but if visitors aren't engaging with the features and the other members I must admit I lose interest in return and just work on the aspects I enjoy, I'm only human after all
https://technicskeyboard.com/ - the main network website
http://gj.technicskeyboards.com/ - Gunnar Jonny's site
http://songs.technicskn7000.com/ - the songs App.
https://kn5000.technicskeyboards.com/ - Bob Hendershot's KN5000 site
And more specific sites available from the top menu of every site.
I hope there's something there for you to enjoy.
Kind regards,
Mike
