The Oaks, one of the largest care facilities in the area, have reported a case of the virus in one of the staff, a custodian. They have been shut down to all outsiders since the start of this virus. Each time a staff member enters, he or she is examined and questioned for any possible symptoms. They all wear masks and change gloves frequently.
They occupy 312 acres, with family residences, assisted living apartments and full-care rooms. It's a top-notch, high-dollar operation, with several hundred total residents.
I last played there for their Christmas party in December, but declined to go back in January or subsequently.
My thoughts and prayers are with them.
