Two clients, an automobile manufacturer and an Italian staircase kit manufacturer, are doing a daily video report to employees and investors.
Logan is at home handling the assembly. I do the storyboard, which goes to the client. While that is being refined, I start a simple music score, or edit to time one of an existing piece previously done and owned by that client.
Because of timing, We are using stills mostly, with fades and lots of chyron. Occasionally, we'll include an audio clip with a photo or a video clip of a principal in the organization.
The end product is not going to win any awards, but is a noble effort on behalf of two outstanding international companies to use corporate culture management to keep their team member and clients up to speed.
The two 7-10 minute films take about 9 hours to complete. Normally, simple films cost the client $5000.00 up. Because of the value of this kind of commitment and the "bare bones" approach, I'm charging $1,000.00 each.
An Italian restaurant I worked for years wants me to play on a patio where carry out is delivered. TOO COLD, and these two films are way more important (Even at $1,000 each, the films pay better, too).
I'm very grateful to be associated with these folks, and appreciate the work.
I've been off 5 weeks; the longest ever. May not ever play live in a small setting. Luckily, there is plenty of film work to fill the void, and the Philharmonic stuff will start again as soon as feasible.
Be well, all.
