Sorry for not following S-Z lately, as I've been saying, I'm trying to avoid most of the outside information; this ignorance helps me to sleep at night, that's something...
Meanwhile, as a postcard from me I want to share these recent videos of mine. As you can see, I'm occupied with all my keyboards.
Recently I tried to play my MM6 again after I got a bit bored with PSR-3000/S950 and I was surprised how refreshing it was. Sometimes one nice EPiano sound, some decent styles is all you need. I guess, some variety of entry-level keyboards can be just as fun as one keyboard of a higher level. It's just psychical changes that give you some variety.
I guess, if I had an extra $1K to spend on keyboards, I’d add Casio PX-560 to my collection, although it doesn’t seem practical – as people say, it gets worn out rather quickly. I just ordered some new strings for my guitar and this is all the shopping for now.
You see how I keep my mind occupied with important things :-)
As for my videos, this one I took yesterday. Playing EPiano on MM6 helped me to compose more cheerful music than I usually do. I thought that this sound resembles meowing of cats, so I named it “Kitty Song”.
Electric Pianos on Roland Juno DS have some seriousness in them, sometimes you feel that it's an actual electric piano under your fingers, although, to tell the truth, I've never played one. This is a song you probably all know better than I do. What a tender song with a verbe "to kill" in its name :-)
And, finally, one more my attempt to compose music for movies. This factory style inspired me after I turned off drum parts. Strings on PSR-S950 are a bit harsh, I guess, but sometimes it seems that they can sound better with a right approach. Not sure, still.
