With the help Of Uncle Dave, I've learned that not all Mic cables are created equal for Arranger keyboards. Dave recommended a low cost
Behringer XM 8500. So I ordered that along with this
1/4" to XLR Cable Turns out, I should have asked Dave about the cable too, as I got the wrong one. The SX-900 needs an unbalanced cable, so I had to return the balanced cable. And actually I'm probably going to return the mic as well, (although I'm not doubting Dave that it's a good low cost mic, I'm not sure if I like
not having an on/off switch.
Anyway, thanks for your help Dave, it was a was a lesson learned from you. With your patience (I texted him 100 times) I'm a little less confused, and I now know
this is the type of cable we need for an arranger mic set up
Large Diaphragm Condenser Mics, Small Diaphragm Condenser Mics,
Dynamic Mics, Bass Mics, Ribbon Mics, Multi-Pattern Mics, Boundary Mics, Balanced, Unbalanced....UGGG!!!
So
if I return the mic, I'm asking for suggestions for a modestly priced one with an on/off switch. (How do you all cope without an on off switch)? I just want something for my granddaughter to sing through the keyboard
Thanks
