Say, can any of you check this out on your Technics Instrument. Any model, especially the PR804 with version 1.3.

Have Octave Strings set as RT1. Go to program menu > Sound Edit > Effects page two. What do you see for group?

On the PR804 ver 1.3 it shows garbly goop and it can not be changed. I've done an initialize and it's still there.

Who do I contact in Technics and report this bug too?

Hi Anthony,

I have the KN6000 (upgraded). Don't know how my keyboard compares with your PR804 in terms of the technical features, but you said "any model", so I want to help if I can. I selected octave strings on Rt1, selected Sound Edit/Effects/Page 2 and I have a normal page presentation. The default setting is Celeste 1 and I can scan through all of the various effects options, change depth, speed etc. No garbly goop as you put it.

Regards, Chuck

Hi CCG

Contact the dealer where you bought the PR804. And ask them you would like the upgrade, see what happens.

By the way, could you check out the Octave Stings and see what you get on page 2? If it looks normal then it looks like something happened to the 1.3 version. If it shows garbly goop then it's an existing problem.

Thanx

Hi Bernie9

Thanx for the input...
A

Anthony, I just checked my 804 and apparently have something similar. For the group, I have a lot of letters that don't make sense; EO6E UEO hKoa with a down arrow at the end. Look familiar?
I work at a Technics dealer part-time and I will see what I can find out.

Talked to Technics musical instruments operations help and informed him of this issue. He checked it out on a PR804 and it does the same thing. He has forwarded this concern to engineering and hope in the next upgrade it would have fix.

Unfortunately, upgrades has a tendency to fix one or two problems, but then adds newer ones.
