Oh no, the latest medelli’s have left toy status far behind
Its an arranger, i would say that competes with casio’s best arrangers

They didn’t, they are now owned by HDC Young Chang and like all companies that have bought up various brand names, they use their best and most renowned names to try and sell lesser products they make or own.

I think this could be a bit misleading for some... Kurzweil was bought by Young Chang in 1990, 30 years ago. Most of Kurzweil's legendary instruments were developed when it was already owned by Young Chang. It's not comparable to legendary brands being bought by Chinese companies during the past 15 years and just used as brands without any connection to their former quality.

Medeli A810 sells for under $300- typically sold with Kurzweil nameplate for more than 2x as much.
