I came across this impressive and very intuitive set of videos yesterday from a home keyboard player on his KN7000.

One video in particular I love the backing style used. Does anyone know if it is a custom style or is it built in?

Thanks!

Reg Siger, that name made my braincells wakeup.
He wrote articles in Technote magazine, and created styles as well.
I can't tell you about the style used, but don't be surprised if it's a custom one.
Some stuff and words about him here at Carillon:

Hi Nick,
i think it is an onboard Latin style and he has just edited the backing voices to suit his desire.
I did a quick test on mine and got fairly close to what you hear
in the clip.

Which style is it? I want to see if it has been converted to another format so I can play it in one of my keyboards - Roland / Yamaha or Korg.

thanks

Hi Nick, give me some time to get the KN close to the computer and I will try to identify the style.

You could both get together lol. How far apart are you both in Sydney?

Years ago I stayed in Paddington for a couple of weeks when I was recording on the Guy McDonough post humous album "My Place" at EMI Studios in Sydney. Guy was best known for writing and singing "Errol" with Australian Crawl.

Here is the title clip of "My Place" shown on Countdown. I appear very briefly playing bass at the back of the room. In fact the YouTube static image on the video link is about as good as I get. Bass players get no respect laugh2

Hi Nigel, I got in touch with Nick just recently.
At one stage we both lived in Castle Hill, Nick moved to inner suburbs recently, but I still look out on Castle Hill Golf Course.

Hi Nick, too difficult to join my stuff together, so i asked Reg,
and he replied that he made it up, but said closest would be one of Technics Bossanova styles, slow, and add drum pads.
Hope this helps>
