Many years ago, before all the technology, musicians were buying Fake Book ranging from $12 to $29. A friend of mine bought a set of four Fake Books for $300; far better quality. Every type of songs you can imagine.
Most of us are using PDF copies, (I think) or whatever. What I have been doing is making a PDF copy, or writing them in my Encore, a music writing program.

I want to give them away, no charge, but they must be picked up. I live in West Palm Beach, Florida 33417.

These books are not the average Fake Books, all music is divided into four books in different categories. It is like having one typical Fake Book with four times as many songs, with no duplicates.

Bill Watkins the owner of Watkins Products gave them to me; they are the only set I have ever seen.

Not sure about US Law but over here in the UK (I believe it is the same in the US) if you copy something (CD, Music Book etc.) and then sell or pass on the item without deleting your copy, is actually breaking the law.

While in most cases no one will notice, (Or care) as you have posted on the web then there are plenty of bots (Bits of software looking for all sorts of things (Google gets a lot of information like this) out there that look for things like this on the web, so be aware.

I wish I was in Florida to pick them up. That’s a very generous offer of you and I’m sure you’ll find someone local glad to take them.

Perhaps there’s a local jazz music program for disadvantaged students that would love those books?

That's quite a task to convert sheet music to PDF.

Like Paul, if I was in Florida, I'd be there in a flash to pick them up.

Nice offer John

Larry, you place the sheet music face down on the glass in your printer. Then press Scan – the scanned music goes into a folder in the computer.

You then move the song to where ever you want. I keep a PDF folder in categories.

hay John, I'll pay shipping for those books if you'll send them to me. you could send them via media mail for not to much I would think. I had gotten the first two or three in the set way back when but they are quite torn up now. Would love to scan these to add to the fake book library.
