If you can find similar videos of Arranger Keyboards being used professionally in a live setting, please share here.

I've shared these before here, but since you asked...

A few of the videos use a Ketron Audya and a Yamaha S950, so you can compare the two in a live setting. Also, these are recorded using a cell phone, nothing fancy, just footage from the "trenches"

This one was recorded more professionally with the Ketron Audya, some live percussion, accordion, guitar, violin, and two vocalist.

Really nice "keyboard based" group. I like playing with at least a percussionist, and another instrument. It just looks so much more professional. Playing as a OMB is cool, I do it all the time, but let's face it, most people assume you're a DJ that sings!

Here's a SZ member, Tye and his wife packing the dance floor. I hope he doesn't mind me posting this, as he is a very modest fellow.

Lol, Thank you Nigel, that particular song will likely getting people to pack the dance floor, that’s the Audya style,

That is good to see the people all loving the band and the ambience of the party.

The stand looked strong and didn't seem to move for a two tier setup either.

thank you, yes I think the quicklok stand is pretty sturdy, also both keyboards That were up there also pretty heavy so they kind of not moving at all

The trick is that double braced support. I’ve never played on a single X stand that didn’t have some movement. The best that I ever found was the old Invisible angled x-stand (very rare, the double tier vertical one was much more common) which was angled backwards so the weight of the keyboard stressed the stand into rigidity). Tried to find a picture, no luck!

But I still hold with the basic ‘leg at each corner’ approach, which permits no motion whatsoever. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/...-keyboard-table Add an extra tier, still rock solid..!

Double braced support is the only way to go with X stands.

Indeed....

As keyboards get lighter and lighter, the weight of the keyboard is no longer much of a factor in tensioning a stand into rigidity. If it ain’t utterly stable without anything on it, it’s unlikely it will be any better once you put your new lightweight 15-20lbs arranger on it. Especially 76’s...

That’s why I like the leg at each corner. Play hard at one end or the other on a 76 or 88, on an x-stand that’s way beyond the support point. Bounce city!

As far as stability is concerned, I agree. Plus, it is a snap to carry and set up, and plenty of legroom. I own two, as well as Apex's, and the rest. If there is any shortcoming, it would be the lack of a second tier that is close to the keyboard. However, the need is rare.

I use an FC-7 foot pedal from time to time. They rarely fit under an x-stand where you want them.

I’ve used them all, x-stands, a-frames, Apexes, Invisibles, you name it. I’m never going back from the leg at each corner type. It is simply the only solution that doesn’t move AT ALL...
