I enjoyed Larry’s rendition, and I thought you may too. Happy Memorial Day.

Nice, Larry…

Did you use an expression pedal?

I like how you can still hear the lead violinist through the section. Is it a specific sound, or did you layer something like a string quartet sound with a full string section sound?

One of my old string tricks was to layer solo strings and sections, but make the section have less dynamics, and the solo strings lots of dynamics, then blend together so the soloist tended to pop out a bit from the mix as you played harder, but disappear back in for quieter passages.

Great to hear an arranger with the gubbins all turned off, from time to time! This works so well without a beat… ❤️🎹😎

Thanks everyone. Not sure how this got to be associated with two seperate posts, but maybe someone can combine the two?

Anyway, Yea Diki, I spent quite a lot of time layering strings and choir voices while trying to keep the violin "out front" on some of the edits. Using Harmony/Appeggio and MultiPads and experimenting until I got sounds I liked is fun.

It started out as a stock Movie Show / StringAdagio style that I edited and saved to a registration, that now more resembles a "Free Style" Style

Anyone interested you can Download It Here . Enable MultiPads in Registration Memory
