Today I was able to order a brand new in the box KN2600 Technics Keyboard from Walt Tenay. He is shipping it tomorrow. I am so happy my socks are running up and down. Now I will have a lite weight keyboard to keep in the motorhome and the big dudes can stay here in the studio. Those big dudes were getting harder to lift all the time. Wife Jann got me the Motion Sound KP200S Sound system for my birthday and it is a stereo sound system in one piece, weighing only 55 pounds and replacing a pair of 75 pound Peaveys. It will travel fine in the motorhome also, as in the basement. All I will need to take now is one lightweight keyboard, one Amp, one usb cable, one mic, and my SD cards and reader and I am down the road to your house. Are you ready for company? Best to all Bebop

I got a KN2600 Yesterday and you will love it. Mine is for traveling purposed also and it fits nicely in a bag. Good Luck and Happy playing. If you ever hear of anyone interested in a TYROS let me know as I want to sell mine. It just doesn't measure up to my Korg PA1XPro

HI Bill. Thanks for the good words. Incidently we have a forum here in the Synthzone that is "Wanted to Buy or Sell" I have noted that everyone that posted a Tyros there has sold it right away. Give it a try. The price is right as in Free. If you sell it there maybe you might want to throw a few bucks in the pay pal pot above to help defray costs of the Synthzone that is currently running in the RED! Best to you Bebop

HI JOHN, Sorry I missed your post until just now. Thanks you for your good words. Life is beginning to look a little less complicated and running down a bit. I did get involved in another big project of sponsoring the SynthZone Jam here at my place but it is working out and there are still a couple of more months to go yet. I have now collected enough funds to secure the clubhouse and the deal is set. Sure wish you were coming out to the West coast in late may. I know you would enjoy this as much as I prolly will. Best to you Brother, Bebop
Hey Bill I think you've found just about the best use for a KN2600 as a lightweight performance tool for your KN7000 which you can then leave at home rather than lugging it around...is it really a lot lighter? cos you've got me thinking... Roger M

HI Roger, I seem to remember that the KN2600 weighs about 28 pounds and the KN7000 weighs 39 pounds. My Yam 9000 weighs 55 pounds I think it is. I am told the same sd card and contents will work on both keyboards. Now if that is true this is a win/win situation. I should have it middle of next week and can tell you more. I did just download 15 mgs of Styles for it from the technics Web site so I am ready for it Our wives or vocalist can carry the 28 pound keyboard Best to you and yours, Bebop

Bebop,
Concradulations on the 2600. I had one (from Walt)as a backup for my 7000 and it is great with a sound system. Very close to the 7000. I sold it as I did not use it and space at home was linited with all the computer and audio junk.
Great to hear you are starting a Jam in California. Let me know the particulars as I may attend. Ours is shaping up real well and will be the largest we have had.

Donnie and Fran, You are reading posts that are over 2 years old and have been resurected by a new member. The jam at my place is ancient history and so is the KN2600, the KN6000, and the KN7000. best regards, Bebop

Hello,
I am near 100% sure that SD Cards for KN7000 works in KN2600 and vice versa. I know because our KN SD-Explorer tool (http://vision-4-life.nl/SDExplorer.htm) works also for both keyboards. So the same OS and format is used in the KN2600.

Good question Larry.
Bebop can't answer that, as he sold his 2600, but I would imagine the answer would be "Almost as good as the 7000"
If I'm correct, the 2600 does not have the exact same sounds, and styles as the 7000, thus substitutes are used.
However, your old 3000 songs sound quite good on the 7000. It just proves that if you make quality recordings like Larry G. , it will sound great on any keyboard.
Out of curiosity, I'm interseted in the answer to your question. So... Anyone out there have a KN-2600? How does Larry's songs compare to his KN-7000 MP3's?
You must have had near heart failure, reading an old post and making you look like you just bought a new KN2600, coming from a man that left a sinking ship for a new button pushing Yammie that spits out a "woo, woo" when a mistake is made. It had me going for a bit. I thought you finally came back to your senses and realized that the KNs are better keyboards than, what is that keyboard that starts with a T and ends with a number 2? Anyway, I am glad you are still afloat after making all that money selling your KNs.

Yes, I did for sure thought I had lost it again one more time. Well, Mr T2 and I are getting along pretty good. I hoped it up and added some good sound to it and it works great. Too bad it takes the sale of three Technics board to pay for one T2 board but that's life I guess. Prolly in a couple more years it would take the sale of 5 or 6 Technics boards to buy the current T so what the heck, everything works out in the end and if it doesn't then it isn't the end. Best to you my friend, Bebop
