Hey Bill
I think you've found just about the best use for a KN2600 as a lightweight performance tool for your KN7000 which you can then leave at home rather than lugging it around...is it really a lot lighter? cos you've got me thinking...

HI Roger,
I seem to remember that the KN2600 weighs about 28 pounds and the KN7000 weighs 39 pounds. My Yam 9000 weighs 55 pounds I think it is.
I am told the same sd card and contents will work on both keyboards. Now if that is true this is a win/win situation. I should have it middle of next week and can tell you more.
I did just download 15 mgs of Styles for it from the technics Web site so I am ready for it
Our wives or vocalist can carry the 28 pound keyboard
Best to you and yours,
Bebop

Are your refering to a T1 or T2? I would love to hear your thoughts on each VS the Korg pa1xPro....thank you

Bebop,

Concradulations on the 2600. I had one (from Walt)as a backup for my 7000 and it is great with a sound system. Very close to the 7000. I sold it as I did not use it and space at home was linited with all the computer and audio junk.

Great to hear you are starting a Jam in California. Let me know the particulars as I may attend. Ours is shaping up real well and will be the largest we have had.

Donnie and Fran,
You are reading posts that are over 2 years old and have been resurected by a new member.
The jam at my place is ancient history and so is the KN2600, the KN6000, and the KN7000.
best regards,
Bebop

Hello,

I am near 100% sure that SD Cards for KN7000 works in KN2600 and vice versa. I know because our KN SD-Explorer tool (http://vision-4-life.nl/SDExplorer.htm) works also for both keyboards. So the same OS and format is used in the KN2600.

Fred,
You are quite correct. I use all the same software and sd cards in both of those keyboards when I had them

Bebop,

Have you had the chance to play my KN7000 arrangements on your KN2600 and if so does it sound as good?

Good question Larry.

Bebop can't answer that, as he sold his 2600, but I would imagine the answer would be "Almost as good as the 7000"

If I'm correct, the 2600 does not have the exact same sounds, and styles as the 7000, thus substitutes are used.

However, your old 3000 songs sound quite good on the 7000. It just proves that if you make quality recordings like Larry G. , it will sound great on any keyboard.

Out of curiosity, I'm interseted in the answer to your question.
So...
Anyone out there have a KN-2600? How does Larry's songs compare to his KN-7000 MP3's?
