Giglad arranger keyboard software, it works with any keyboard having midi function. They have a free version & also full version is for a free trial for 45 days. It supports VST instruments & also Yamaha styles.

Have you tried it yet? The thing that always worries me about software arrangers is, do they use the same codes that hardware arrangers use to ‘glitch’ notes that are corrected after the attack (like a fractionally late chord change e.g.) in a way as close to undetectably as possible? Most hardware arrangers, you have to miss the beat quite a bit before you hear anything.

Take a look at any SMF derived from an arranger’s output, and you can see those codes all over the place. Something along the lines of note changes with a portamento time of zero popped in so the note doesn’t retrigger.

I remember trying some software arranger a long time ago, and it didn’t do this. Very disappointing results. And I wonder if each brand uses a different trick to achieve the same results? I’ve never examined anything other than Roland files…

I’m in an all Apple environment, so I can’t check for myself. 🎹😎
