Hi all...It's been awhile since I posted. I arranged & produced this song I wrote myself.
Here's my workflow: As usual, I'll think of an arrangement & then the rhythm is layed with my trusty Korg PA 4X...What would I do without her ? After the foundation is layed, I played the piano, & acoustic guitars, & then cut my lead vox...Then I recorded my BGV's in the 2nd Verse & 2nd Chorus.
I did bring in my Nashville session electric guitarist & my background vocalist who is Faith Hills also background vocalist to lend a hand.
Hope you like the song & the Video...

Hi Chas, I live in a small guest house which is my living quarters/studio. Recorded on my 11 year old TASCAM DP24 & mixed on Studio One 4. Mic is a Audio Technica 4040. Guitar is a 1960's Yamaha Red Nippon I got for $20...And of course the Korg PA4x...
Oh and my daughter shot the footage for the video & I edited on Final Cut Pro X

Thanks. Great job. Clearly someone knows their way around the recording process. Editing is first rate. I had a DP24. Nice piece of gear but I ultimately found computer recording with a good interface (I/O 26) easier for me (Reaper with a gazillion plugs). I don't sing so I have no expensive mics, just 3 or 4 of the $2-300 variety. I have a variety of vocal processors but if you can't sing, they don't help .
