Has anyone tried using the BBE 282i http://www.bbesound.com/products/sonic-maximizers/282i.aspx on an arranger keyboard?

Does it improve the sound for live performance? In which way? Is it useful if we have powered speakers on stage?

Thanks,
Sunny

Used to use one when I had a PA rack. Best way to describe it is what a musician friend said " its like you took a blanket off the speakers. " Try it inline before your powered speakers. Some keyboards now nave a similar effect built in. Let us know your results.

Like Bill, I had a PA rack. I stopped using it after I listened to a song I recorded – the highs were too sharp, and the bass muddy. I had the bass and the highs set pretty low.

I bought a good stereo EQ for the rack; the sound was good – and it was less work.

PS, the BBE took away some quality. (opinion)

I found the same to be true with several BBE units. It became such a pain to carry a rack. I ditched them. I didn't blame the units, but figured the application was not optimal.
