As more and more BOTL arranger (PSR SX600/ PA 300) or portable electric pianos ( FP30x, P125, etc) are omitting MIDI din outs and having only USB outs, some of of us may wonder solutions for it ( using external modules/ keyboards without a computer in between them especially playing live).
No, your $20 USB MIDI interface will not work.
You need USB MIDI Host ( which needs power) and here are some examples.
