Special for the (future)KN7000-player who belonging to the sounds of the 6000's , I've made a whole backup of the KN6000-composerstyles (include the Music Style Arranger-setting) AND the KN-6000 PADS (those who are different with the K7).
I promised myself in an other Post to completed this coming weekend, I'm glad I succeeded

This is also the answer on some questions in a few mails I'v got, I hope. I thanks Alec and Bill for their info.
BTW: next week (what a long time to go yet)I expect to get the K7, so I can go to my page and download it too
The reason I did this: I had a few K6 songs, when loaded in the K7, they did not sound good (perhaps my playing ). For sure they were not in the right composerstyle. At those moments I just needed the K6 styles. So I've to convert still my K6-songs to K7-format, but that's the risk updating
Best Regards
Cees

excellent Cees.

there is an easy way to avoid surprises in the new keyboard.
always copy the style and pads you use in a song to the composer and user pads. Then when you save the song with composer, pads, sound etc it will play with the same patterns in the next machine.

every new model I generally end up copying composers into peoples songs and resaving their panel memories for them from preset to composer in order that their songs sound the same

Thanks Alec,
when I have my new K7000 I will think to that in avoiding such problems in the K8000 . I've still a few days the K6, so I can save some of my songs in the way you suggest.
Greetings
Cees.

the irony is that most people do performance saves anyway. While they sequence from preset styles and pads, they are saving the initial styles and pads most of the time in the performance save, and this is a waste of space anyway. So you might as well copy the preset style and pad to composer and user bank, set the registrations from there, and the performance save will sound the same on a compatible format machine.

I expect I'll be repairing more files over the coming weeks...

In answer to some mails I will try to explain a misunderstanding.
On my homepage there is a 'synthzone'-button: KN6000-build-in-styles. That's the button I pointed at in the above Post.
The other button (KN6000 songs)are just my demosongs for the KN6000 in KN6*-format (not in K7-format!!).Because this page is in Dutch, some people misunderstand this .
