My son Logan brought me a copy of Premier Guitar, one of my favorite magazines. They preview gear of notable players. The player featured was an Australian, now relocated to Nashville; Jed Hughes.

He is holding my beautiful old 1968 Guild 402 I sold on Reverb last year! They only made them for a couple of years. It looks somewhat like a Barney Kessel, with two sharp points and a 3 inch wide body. Had a bigsby (UGH).

WHAT MEMORIES! I'm so glad that a YOUNG MAN OF JED'S demeanor has this old gem.

Haven't read the article yet, but am looking forward to it.

WHAT MEMORIES! I played the Guild 6 nights a week at the Fireplace lounge and a Holiday Inn (Ah, memories of days as a lounge lizard LOL) while in graduate school in 1968-1969; then is sat in a case for over 55 years. Cost: $369.00 with case!

ENJOY, JED!

Jed just got back to me. He used the old Guild recently on a Miranda Lambert tune currently on the country charts.

HOW COOL!

Nice. It’s not often you can say something like this about an electronic keyboard..!
