An online database for Yamaha Arranger Styles has been launched.

https://StylePlayer.io

To see how this can simplify your life, please watch this intro video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7yDEOR4KzY

As of date, there are 4067 Styles covering these 15 Yamaha Arrangers:

Geno2
Genos
PSR-SX900
PSR-SX700
PSR-SX600
Tyros 5
Tyros 4
Tyros 3
Tyros 2
PSR-S975
PSR-S970
PSR-S775
PSR-S770
PSR-S750
PSR-S670

You can search for any Song and you will get a list of compatible Styles pertaining to your specific Arranger.

You can instantly download the style to your keyboard via a USB cable. No need to use a USB flash drive.

Additionally, you will see the PDF Score Sheet and the Chords & Lyrics.
For convenience, many songs have links to YouTube videos.

Conversely, you can search for any Style, and the database will display all the Songs that fits.

I find this an invaluable resource. I no longer need to hunt through the 800 styles on my Genos2 to find the best match to a given song.

The author spent 2 years programming this free community resource. Any person can upload their content.

The author has future plans to make a database for Voices and Registrations.

Imagine if you could instantly download not only the best Style to a given Song, but also the custom voices and Registrations. Then all you have to do is follow the lead sheet and change the chords.

I would like to see a MIDI file of the Song included as well, so that you can preview it instantly on your specific arranger.

Hello everybody,

The author of StylePlayer.io just added these Yamaha Clavinova Models to his Instrument List:

CVP-409
CVP-509
CVP-609
CVP-709
CVP-809
CVP-909

This brings the Yamaha Arranger Instrument List to 24.

The best part of SylePlayer.io is how fast one can search through the entire database by typing just a few characters in the Universal Search Box.

The simplicity of the User Interface and streamlined navigation will make StylePlayer.io the best global repository of Yamaha Arranger Styles accessible to anyone for free.

You can type in any Yamaha Style Name in the Search Box like DiscoPhilly.

It opens up the DETAILS about this Style.

https://styleplayer.io/styles/yamaha/psr-s975/dance/1695/disco-philly

Open the LIVE PREVIEW TAB next to the DETAILS TAB.

This takes you to the LIVE PREVIEW PAGE.

https://styleplayer.io/style/yamaha/1695/disco-philly/play

If you have your Arranger connected by a USB Cable to your PC, you can actually PLAY this Style with all the Intros, Endings, Variations, Fills, One Touch Settings via your Instrument without even having to download or transfer the Style.

Note:

Connect your Yamaha Arranger first to your PC using a USB A to B Cable.
Next, open the Chrome browser on your PC and enter:

https://StylePlayer.io

It will prompt you asking for permission to access your MIDI Devices.

Enter YES.

Select MIDI Output/Input = Digital Audio Workstation or the name of your Instrument if it appears in the drop down list.

You are now ready for LIVE PREVIEW and direct transfer of Styles to your Instrument.

They get populated under the USER section of your device.

There is no need to install any USB device drivers!

I see that Rikki has joined the StylePlayer Community.

Welcome Rikki!!

I added in a request to include XF MIDI Files.

https://styleplayer.io/community/d/9-please-include-an-option-to-add-an-xf-midi-file-to-a-song

Any MIDI file that you record on any Yamaha Arranger Keyboard is automatically saved in the XF MIDI File Format. It is an extension of the Standard MIDI Format that includes Chords and Lyrics that are recognized by all Yamaha Arrangers.

There are several other programs that allow you to create XF MIDI Files:

SmartScore64 Pro
Notation Composer 4
GNMIDI Professional
XGWorks
XFTools
PSRUTI

I wrote a comprehensive guide showing how anyone can create an XF MIDI File starting with a printed Lead Sheet or a PDF Score.

http://www.davidapps.net/xfmidi.pdf

Having an XF MIDI File along with the Style, Registrations and PDF Score to any Song makes it a complete package.

There is an iPad App named SongBook+ that marries your PDF Scores to your Registrations on your Keyboard in a bi-directional link.

Furthermore, you can link your MP3 Files and XF MIDI Files in SongBook+

Imagine this.

You launch SongBook+ on your 12.9” iPad.
You see an alphabetical list of all your PDF sheet music.
You select any Song.
The PDF is displayed while simultaneously the corresponding Registration Bank is selected on your instrument ready to play.

You also have the option to preview the Song by playing the MP3 File or the XF MIDI File.

This is the ultimate in convenience.

Glowing reviews are coming in from new members in the Community Forum.

“Best invention since Windows and the Internet. Sometimes it took me half an hour to find a suitable style with a certain song. Now I can see the style or more and make a choice or download it directly to my Genos.”
