In Belgium the technics kn7000 is not supplied with the sd card reader.
Whe can order one but have to pay it...so it's an option.

It is all part of the kit & supplied with the KN7000 in the UK

With direct connect via usb ports, do you really need a card reader? Can't you download directly to a program for handling the music file for cd burning or for file handling? I never bother with a reader when downloading digital photos from my camera. Straight from the camera to the file handler through the usb connection - and, with usb v.2 it will be faster yet. Is this just extra glitter that isn't worth the money?

I agree with you Bud, except for those situations where the keyboard and computer are in different locations. I certainly won't need a reader when I use the laptop.
