As results of the posibility to download from my homepage ( http://home.planet.nl/~cels ) the KN6000 build-in-styles with the original 6000-soundsetting by using MSA on the KN7000, I recieved some mails with questions about the pads, wich I can't answer .
Does anybody can compare if the pads on the K6 en K7 are different? Are they all different or some pads (and which)?
If somebody will be so kind, who maybe have the two KN-types (that lucky guy ) or knowing this, please reply. I will be adjust my homepage with the different K6 pads, so that our synth-friends who are interested in this, can download this.
I expect/hope that in due time the KN7000-site will deliver this service to us technics-clients?
With best regards,
Cees

Unless anyone else has done a comparison, I'll do that for you tomorrow. I know that there are the same number of pre-set styles in the Pads and that some of them do have subtle changes - the Country one's for a start. Will post tomorrow.......

Thanks Bill for your quick reply and I appreciate your spirit trying to help other (I meant also other members on this forum). I had no experience in visiting forums at all and it is refressing to see in the short time I registered that everyone is human- (and technics)interessed and kindly and helpfull to eachother.
(It is getting late and it seems that I become a little bit "philosofical" as you understand what I meant).

I'm looking formard to your reply, don't forget your nightrest..

Greetings
Cees

Thank you too Alec,
for security I will copy these pads too and put them also on my page, with the different pads Bill named.
(By the way, I downloaded CK rename you mentioned. Indeed it's a usefull/good program for managing/rename the various files at this moment. Before that I used GREX Pro, but the preview option of CK is just more 'handy')

Apologies - Alec is quite correct about Pad 4 in the Swingy Waltz. On the KN6000, it is a Loop whereas on the KN7000, it is just a two bar phrase which does not loop. The organ sounds are a bit different as would be expected and the 'Licks' are a bit different. I did make this observation in my original rough notes whilst comparing the two instruments, but it 'got lost' in the translation to the PC keyboard. ( Must Try Harder )
As far as the country Pads are concerned, the same named instruments are selected in all six KN7000 pads as in the KN6000. Again, there are slight differences in the sounds of some of the actual instrument but as I said before, the main differences are in the 'Licks' or patterns which are played. Pad 5, although designated as Country Piano, on the KN7000, has a couple of very short additions of a Steel Guitar.
