I just stoped by the Buchla web site and Don has created a new modular synthesizer. The 200e and updated version of the series 200. To be unvieled at this years AES conevtion on October 29th. Cost for basic system $9450.00. This new system is not only improved from the orignal but now you can save your sounds that you create. I did not see any sort of controller for it just the modules, but I am sure Don will add one. It looks like a nice system but the price is too steep for me. Even a single power module is $1400.00. I know the Buchla systems are well known, but couldn't he have at least made them to be less expensive?
