NSR,
I just re-checked the PCAVTech sound card site and it says it was last revised on 8/21/01.
You can check this Soundcard site as well:
http://www.digitalexperience.com/cards.html but I don't know how 'up to date' that site is. It does give some excellent links to others sites (though) that might provide the information you're looking for.
I personally don't think you will go wrong with one of the M-Audio Midiman Delta series of soundcards. I have the Delta 66 with the Omni Studio, and am very happy with both its sound quality (24 bit/96khz) and excellent 'seamless' compatibility with both Cakewalk Sonar & Pro Audio & Logic Audio. Compatibility is an important thing to consider. Before buying a soundcard decide WHICH digital audio recording or midi sequencing software program you're going to use. Then contact the software manufacterer to find out WHICH soundcard(s) they recommend (most compatible) to use with their program and your computer. As I have mentioned before, if you're on the PC, I highly recommend Cakewalk Sonar.
Good luck,
- Scott
