In this morning's snail mail, I had the pleasure of receiving an advertising brochure from Roland, one for which I had not requested as I'm quite happy with the setup that we've got.

I decided to make a few phone calls (5 in all) to dealers and found, shock horror gasp, that the prices in the brochure are at least 15-20% more than their own registered dealers. So be warned.

P.S. Rachael sends regards as she's somewhere close to Mid-Atlantic at the moment. They're making good headway and all should be home within 3 weeks or so.

Hi Mark.

I would think that this is normal, expected.
The brochure from Roland, the manufacturer, would be quoting the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) right?

The dealer's quoted price is their best discounted price, which you see to be approximately 15%-20% lower than MSRP.

Say hello to Rachael for me, and let her know that I'm being more studious lately with the help of the Wikipedia.

The rrp of the new E80 arranger from Roland is £2499 yet the majority of the online music retailers show £2000, big difference.
