A friend of mine has a problem with his KN5000. Everything works, except there is no display ..just a blue blank screen.

Any ideas?

Re-setting may help, so......
Anyone know how to factory re-set the 5000?

I suppose it's worth a try to re-set, although I suspect something is seriously wrong with his keyboard.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try http://home.no/gunnar-jonny/bobs/initialize.htm . May not work though, for this problem.

Initial setting:
Press March&Waltz+PartyTime+ShowTime/TradDance and hold down until Power on the keyboard.

Regarding screen, check the contrast-slider in lower left side of the screen, if that one is totally upwards, you see nothing but blue light screen. Push it downwards to prefered contrast.
