I can't find where to lower volume of root base note produced with APC on.

Go to Program Menus > Sound > Part Setting then Scroll through all the sounds until you see 'R.Bass'. Adjust the volume to your liking. You can also change the volume of the 'CHORD' voice here - one step before the R.BASS.
You should save this setting in Panel Memory since changing to a different set-up will change the R.BASS and CHORD settings.

For Bernie9,

I'm not sure about which model you've got but I'll base this on the 6K sitting next to me.

On the screen I've got the volume controls for all settings, including the bass. Based on reducing the setting (currently at 105) to, say 90, using variation 1 of the standard 8 beat rhythm the bass is far less intrusive. Please remember to save your new settings in the relevant panel memory.

Bill's advice, as above, works just as well but it really depends on which 'board you're using.

Anyway, have fun,

Luce

I've got it. Thank you both for your reply.
