I have a kn6500 and I have a lot of sequenzer files.
Most off this sequenzer files I change the preset voices to my personal choise.
Sometimes I have a problem when the voice I want to change is a octave to high or to low.
How do I change this and save the changes on my harddisk.
I know there is a buttom R1/R2 octave ...but this does not work when you change settings in the step record from the sequenzer.

go to sequencer / record & edit / step record / select the track and press control CTL (if no control parameters are already there at the beginning of this track).

the first parameter is pan, press up once on the CTL switch and you should get key shift. put in +12 or -12 for an octave shift and press YES.

save the song.

I want to do this with sequenzer files not midifiles.
So I give you an example.
In a certain song the lead voice changes in measure 54 ...and goes to panel memory 4.
The voice that is selected is to high..so I want the voice an octave lower.
I tried your solution...but I can't select a track. I just can select a measure .
I tried what you said in the measure 54 but when I tried it nothing was changed.
Did I something wrong.

The principle is valid for technics or midi sequencer files. You can have changes programmed either in each track, or in panel memories which can affect several tracks at once. You may have set an octave change in a track, but if the panel memory command is after that change, the octave will immediately revert back to the original setting cancelling your new setting, and you can hear no difference.

If the change is in panel memory no 4, just select panel memory no 4, and change the octave of the voice in the mixer, on page 5 in key shift as described above.
Then resave panel memory no 4.
Then resave the song.

You could memorise a R1/R2 octave switch change in the panel memory too, the advantage of the mixer is you can independantly set the octaves of R1 and R2 simultaneously.
